Key West, a slice of pie and the beginning of the Steff&Co Original Cooler

Why every Steff&Co can carries a piece of Florida nostalgia and the glimmers of a magical road trip and one perfect dessert.

The first slice of Key Lime pie we shared was in a small restaurant on Duval Street.

The Keys are not just a vacation. They are a memory plentiful of glimmers.
The Overseas Highway is one of the most cinematic drives in America. The music loud. The windows down. The road getting narrower until the land disappears on both sides and only bridge and water remain. Most people experience it once, we are blessed to have returned oftentimes since.

We left Miami early. Stopped in Islamorada for fish. Drove through Marathon when the light went soft. By the time we reached Key West the sun was almost gone. We checked in. We dropped our bags and started walking through the charming and vibrant streets to reach Duval.

The slice arrived on a small plate with a slim wedge of lime on the side. The pie was tart, cold, sweet without being heavy. The graham crust held the filling like a quiet shoulder. The lime was sharp enough to wake up the cream and gentle enough to disappear when you wanted it to. It tasted exactly like the drive we had just made.

There is a thing about Florida flavors that does not get said often enough. They are not loud. They do not need to be. Florida grew up next to the Caribbean, the Gulf, and the Atlantic. Three food cultures, all sun-warmed, all unpretentious. The result is a state that takes citrus seriously.

We talked about pie for weeks. We drove south again. And again. Key West became a place we returned to for inspiration and the Keys vibes. Every time, the same slice. A Steff&Co ritual.

When we designed the Sparkling Yuzu Key Lime Cooler, Key Lime was not only a flavor decision. It was also an emotional one. The Keys are in every can. The road. The table. The beginning of Steff&Co.

Your everyday elevated, with a piece of Florida in every sip.
